The Portage Invitational has become one of the nations fastest growing meets, starting with 30 schools in 1998 and over 190 schools (376 teams) in 2007, including 6100+ runners. The midwest's top teams look to this meet as a primer for their state tournament. Many of the Portage Invitational's division champions have gone on to win team and individual state titles.
